This course aims to provide water confident children aged 7-12 with a fun, safe and affordable way to get into sailing. Designed for participants who wish to have fun and learn the basics of sailing through games on and off the water.

Tackers1-Having Fun is an accredited Australian Sailing course conducted by qualified instructors from our Discover Sailing Centre. The course introduces younger children to sailing over eight Saturday mornings spanning 5th October to 14th December. Sessions will be held on the following dates: 5th October; 12th October; 26th October; 9th November; 16th November; 30th November; 7th December; 14th December.

Sessions commence at 8:45am and conclude at 11:00am.

We would love to see the whole family involved. It's not uncommon for parents to complete the Start Sailing 1&2 program while the kids are doing Tackers. The programs run concurrently.

The Tackers1 course costs $270. It provides eighteen hours of qualified instruction, a Tackers Pack contining a hat, rashie and water bottle in a carry bag, and a Certificate of completion at the end of the course.

Substantial membership discounts for the 2019/2020 season are also offered to participants in 'learn to sail' courses:

• Family membership (inc. students < 25 years): $150.00 (normally $460);
• Juniors (under 18 years): $30.00 (normally $92).
