The School Holiday Youth program is for those age 12-17 for those looking to continue their sailing, work on their skills and learn new techniques. The program is conducted by qualified instructors from our Discover Sailing Centre. 

The course is 4 days, a 5th day incase of a bad weather day. Sessions commence at 9:00am and conclude at 2:00pm. Participants are encouraged to arrive by 8:30am to allow time for changing into wet gear and boat rigging. The program is conducted using the Chelsea Yacht Club Pacers, RS Quests and RS Aero fleet.

The course costs $240. It provides twenty hours of qualified instruction and a pathway to the capable enjoyment of sailing.

Essential Equipment

• Bathers – shorts & rashie ideal (avoid cotton)
• Towel
• Beach shoes /old runners
• Hat

Nice to have

• Waterproof jacket
• Wetsuit / wetsuit booties
• Sailing gloves (fingerless)
