Come and join this casual, fun session to introduce our new FEVAs to CYC members.
The day will be particularly focused around our young members – those who are ready to take the next step and start sailing the FEVAs; those who have been learning sailing with us and want to hop on a FEVA with some experienced assistance; and those who just want to come and get a taste of things to come. Everyone is welcome.
We will be using this weekend to kick off our CYC Youth Squad (or whatever name our young ones eventually choose) so it will be a great two days and just the start of some amazing next steps for the club.
The event will run from 0900 to 1200 and the program will include:
This is a great opportunity to get these boats out on the water and see what fun they will be to use.
This event is FREE to CYC members. Instructors and a safety boat will be supplied. Members intending to attend need to regsiter before the day to help us with planning.
We will also have a few Pacers on the water for those members wishing to continue their casual sailing and development similar to what we have been running each Saturday over the past weeks.
This isn’t just a day for the young sailors and there will be opportunity for adult sailors to either have a go in one of the FEVAs, lend a hand helping our less experienced sailors take the FEVAs for a spin, providing a helping hand, or just being part of this great day spectating and encouraging our young sailors.
The opportunity is open to all CYC sailing members. Members are welcome to regsiter for both days.
There is still limited access to club facilities so please bring snacks/drinks and whatever you need to sail and be comfortable afterwards. The public toilets, showers and change facilities will be open but best option is to come ready to play/sail.
